Kareena to return as Poo in Netflix series

Actor originally starred as the character in 2001's 'Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham'

Bollywood diva Kareena Kapoor Khan needs no introduction. The actor made her debut with Refugee in 2000 and later went on to star in some of the most loved films such as Jab We Met and 3 Idiots. Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham was one of her most successful films in which she played the iconic character of Poo. Now, after 17 years of its release Kareena might be returning as Poo yet again, reported Filmfare.

A source close to Kareena revealed that the Chameli actor will be starring in a similar avatar to Poo in a web series. The insider said, "Kareena is in talks with Netflix and she has loved the script of a show which will feature her as a woman in her mid-30s. Her character has been inspired from Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’s Poo which was loved by the audiences. She is quite excited to return as a 35 year old Poo with some new flavours of drama added to it.”

For now, it hasn't been confirmed if Kareena's new character will be called Poo or have a different name. But whatever it may be, her reprisal of one of her most famous roles will be exciting for her fans.

Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham was released in 2001. The film also starred Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol Devgn, Hrithik Roshan, Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan in lead roles. Kareena's character was one fans still obsess over. Her witty dialogues such as "Kaun hai yeh, jisnay dubara murr ke mujhe nai dekha? (Who is he who didn't look at me again?)" and "Good looks, good looks and good looks," are still remembered by fans today.
