‘Welfare of Common man is PTI’s top agenda’

The chief minister has approved the summary of funding for Punjab Education Endowment Fund

Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has said Pakistan Tahreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government would change the destiny of the people and the welfare of common man was the first priority of the government.

The CM made these remarks on Sunday. He said the main objective of establishing shelter homes was to provide the facility for spending the night to poor people who visit Lahore. It will facilitate them in such a way that they would not have to spend the night under the open sky. “Initially five shelter homes will be established in the provincial capital as a pilot project and the foundation stone of the first shelter home has been established near Lahore Railway Station,” he said.

He said shelter homes on two-kanal land would be constructed near Railway Station and Data Darbar, while remaining three will be of 1-kanal each. Buzdar said shelter home being constructed at Lahore will be a state of the art where travelers will be provided with other facilities and its working capacity will be extended to other cities as well.


He said that credit of such welfare projects goes to the PTI leadership and he himself will monitor the headway of this exceptional project. The chief minister said he and his team will remain vigilant for the welfare of the public.

Meanwhile, spokesperson for the Punjab Chief Minister Dr Shehbaz Gill clarified that no ban has been imposed on the transfer of teachers in Punjab. Neither any order has been passed on by the chief minister in this regard. As per the decision of the chief minister, he said, routine transfers of teachers were in process.

He also disclosed that the chief minister has approved the summary of funding for Punjab Education Endowment Fund (PEEF).
