15 candidates submit nomination papers for by-elections on PB-47

Kech seat fell vacant after BAP's Abdul Rind was disqualified for possessing dual nationality

QUETTA: At least 15 candidates have submitted their nominations papers with the Election Commission Office to contest by-elections on PB-47 Kech scheduled for December 6.

In a statement, Chief Election Commissioner Balochistan Nayaz Baloch said, “The ECP Balochistan has received 17 nomination papers from 15 candidates. On the last day of submission of forms, 15 candidates from various political parties and independent candidates have filed their nomination papers for by-election on PB-47 Kech district on December 6.”

The provincial assembly seat of PB-47 Kech was announced vacant after Balochistan Awami Party’s (BAP) Abdul Rind was disqualified by the Election Commission for possessing dual nationality.
The Balochistan National Party-Mengal has fielded two candidates Jameel Dashti and Barkat Ali, The National Party has selected Fida Hussain Dashti, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Waris Ali, BNP-Awami and BAP have chosen a joint candidate Rauf Rind, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl Javed Noumani, while eight independent candidates have submitted their documents.
