Kidney centre: Minister seeks report on children’s treatment
Dr Akhtar Malik asked officials to prepare a report for the establishment of a paediatrics section at MIKD
MULTAN:
Punjab Minister for Energy Dr Akhtar Malik paid a visit to the Multan Institute of Kidney Diseases (MIKD) and sought a report on the treatment of children at the facility.
Accompanied by Multan Commissioner Imran Sikandar Baloch, the minister visited different sections of MIKD and observed the facilities being provided to the masses at the institute. Dr Akhtar Malik asked officials to prepare a report for the establishment of a paediatrics section at MIKD for the treatment of children's kidney diseases. He expressed concerns over the alleged lack of attention paid by the previous regime on the health sector in Multan. He promised that the PTI government would soon deliver good news for the people.
The minister ordered the MIKD administration to improve the quality of dialysis and reiterated the government’s commitment to providing all possible facilities for patients at the kidney centre.
