ISLAMABAD:
The premier designing section of the apex civic agency of the capital has sent its recommendations for building chambers of lawyers at the lower courts to the chief commissioner.
Documents with Daily Express show that the Capital Development Authority (CDA) design wing has reviewed the project concept-II (PC-II) for building lawyer chambers in Sector G-10.
CDA raises Rs2.5b by selling 12 plots
Now, the Law and Justice Ministry must be urged to provide funds for the construction of the chambers with the government bearing around 75 per cent of the costs while the lawyers will bear the remaining 25 per cent of the cost.
Moreover, the document stated that all stakeholders had participated in a meeting held last month to review the plans and offer their input on the plans. The stakeholders included CDA officials, the Islamabad Chief Commissioner and members of the Islamabad Bar Association.
