Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Asif Ghafoor on Tuesday paid tribute to the Kashmiri martyrs of November 6, 1947, and said Indian occupation forces can never suppress the just political struggle of Kashmiris for their legitimate right of self-determination.

"Their great sacrifices shall accrue result."

Kashmiris on both sides of the Line of Control (LoC) and across the world are observing Jammu Martyrs' Day on November 6 to reaffirm the resolve and continue the martyrs’ mission till the realisation of their inalienable right to self-determination, reported Radio Pakistan.

Scores of Kashmiris were massacred by the forces of Maharaja Hari Singh, Indian army and Hindu extremists in different parts of Jammu region while migrating to Pakistan during the first week of November in 1947.

Two Kashmiri youth were martyred in district Shopian, Jammu and Kashmir during an operation by the Indian forces on Tuesday. The martyred youth were identified as Muhammad Idrees Sultan and Amir Hussain.

On October 27, Kashmiris on both sides of the LoC observed a black day to convey to the world that India’s occupation is totally illegal, unjust and contrary to Kashmiris’ aspirations.
