Petrol: PM for ensuring smooth supply

PM directs that all refineries be asked to work at full capacity and ensure swift supply to all areas.

ISLAMABAD:
Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani has taken notice of the reported shortage of petrol in Punjab and upcountry.


On Tuesday, the prime minister directed the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Resources to take immediate steps and ensure availability of petrol without any further delay. He further directed that all refineries be asked to work at full capacity and ensure swift supply to all areas. According to reports, refineries are operating below capacity due to financial constraints caused by the inter-corporate debt.
