Police uses force against protesters

Peaceful demonstration turned violent as police used force to disperse protesters in Islamabad on Thursday.

"Police allowed mob then beat r girls too wil b questioned in assembly," tweeted Marvi Memon, Pakistan Muslim League MNA as a peaceful demonstration turned violent when police used force to disperse protesters in Islamabad on Thursday.

APCA and APTA activists joined Lady Health Workers outside parliament house in a protest demanding 100 per cent increase in their salaries.

"lhworkers sayin the harsmnt law usels doesnt help them when they get harased bec powerful get away," tweeted Marvi discussing the protests.


More than five hundred protestors demonstrated outside the parliament house. They wanted to record their protest in front of the parliament to have prompt action on their demand.

"When the mob attacked us n police the police atacked us bak wth tear gas mob wrecked r pecful protest we r regrouping," said Marvi in another tweet.

The protesters have vowed to continue their protest until their demands are met.

Hundreds of police personnel have been deployed and security has been tightened  in the area.
