20 spots in K-P to be developed for tourism

Recently constituted tourism task force to meet PM Imran Khan on November 7

PESHAWAR: In a bid to boost tourism in the province, the provincial government has selected 20 spots which will be immediately developed as tourist destinations.

This was disclosed by Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Senior Minister Atif Khan while addressing a seminar on "Way Forward for the Tourism Sector of K-P, Launching of K-P Tourism Sector Analysis" in Islamabad on Friday.

He said that the Tourism Task Force which had been recently constituted is expected to meet PM Imran Khan on November 7 and then K-P CM Mahmood Khan so that the full support and backing of both the federal and provincial governments can be had.

Atif, who is also the tourism minister disclosed that they will soon open the historic Qilla Bala Hisar in Peshawar. In this regard, he said that Peshawar Corps Commander had been informed so that the FC based there in the fort — can be relocated.
