Poll commissioner suspended

Director elections Qasim has been given the three-month extension for his additional charge

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Thursday suspended District Election Commissioner Mastung Fazal Muhammad for three months over misconduct.

According to an official notification, Fazal would remain suspended for three months beginning from October 26.


Meanwhile, the Director Elections Nadeem Qasim has been given the three-month extension for his additional charge as additional director general for Public Relations department.

The extension period is also applicable from October 26.

The notices in this regard have been issued after the approval of Chief Election Commissioner Sardar Muhammad Raza.
