Safety concerns: Schools in the capital remain closed today
According to details, private educational institutions of the federal capital were also closed on Thursday

The government and private schools of Islamabad will remain closed on Friday due to the law and order situation.
Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has postponed the examinations scheduled for Thursday and Friday. The federal education board has also postponed its examinations to be held today. The buses of educational institutions also remained out of function.
According to details, private educational institutions of the federal capital were also closed on Thursday. Though a holiday was not announced for public educational institutions, attendance remained quite low because of blockades on the roads. Even teachers could not show up at the educational institutions. Dates of AIOU exams that have been postponed will be announced later. Candidates appearing for exams held by Federal Education Board could not reach their centers in Sector I-8. According to examinations controller for the Board, the Pakistan studies paper scheduled for today has been postponed.
