Ayeza Khan all set to star opposite Humayun Saeed in ‘Mere Pass Tum Ho’



It was recently announced that Ayeza Khan and Humayun Saeed will be starring in a new drama serial titled Mere Pass Tum Ho. In a recent interview Ayeza Khan revealed that she is excited to start working on the project however is also a tad bit nervous as her character isn’t that of a conventional nature. “The drama will deliver a strong message and there’s a huge risk involved. I hope I am able to deliver what is expected of me” she said. Directed by Nadeem Baig, Mere Pass Ho Tum is expected to air in 2019.

Angeline Malik’s initiative to voice social issues on a national level



Angeline Malik has always raised her voice against suppression on different platforms. Amidst #MeToo, Malik has initiated a movement as an advocate to voicing relevant social issues in Pakistan; #InkaarKaro. Strong women from the entertainment industry have offered their support to Malik for her initiative. The campaign aims to offer support to violence and abuse victims around the country.

Film-maker Mahera Omar wins award in India, denied visa to India to collect it



Filmmaker Mahera Omar’s documentary ‘The Rebel Optimist’ was given the Best Documentary Award in the Across the Border category at the 7th Delhi International Film Festival 2018, but due to visa restraints she was unable to travel to India to collect it. In an interview the film-maker shared her desire to visit India as her grandparents belonged to the country. Omar stated “The festival authorities too have tried to help me, but it is very difficult for a Pakistani to get a visa. I feel a sense of belonging. My ancestry is from there.”

Malala pens her experience at Oxford University in British Vogue



The youngest Nobel Prize Laureate Malala Yousafzai was recently featured on the cover of British Vogue where she penned down her experience at Oxford University along with her hopes and dreams for the future.  Hailing from Swat the 21-year-old activist shared she is grateful for the opportunities she has received and like her, every girl should get to choose her own career.  “Now 21, I am able to study at a prestigious university — but I want to live in a world where every girl is able to weigh her future career options in the way I hope to when I graduate,” wrote Malala.

Pre wedding celebrations for Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas



Pre wedding celebrations are rolling in for Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas. The couple is expected to tie knot in December at Rajasthan’s Mehrangarh Fort. Friends and family of the two hosted a bridal shower for the Bollywood star in the NYC. Priyanka looked gorgeous in an ivory Marchesa dress paired with nude Louboutin’s and a Tiffany & Co choker. The Exotic singer shared a picture of herself on her instagram story getting ready for the bridal shower and captioned it “My girls are in town! Any reason to party. Pre-wedding celebrations.”

Supreme Court imposes ban on airing Indian content



The Supreme Court has imposed a complete ban on airing of Indian content on Pakistani television channels with the exception of printable content. A three-member bench of the top court, headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar, imposed the restriction during a hearing at the Supreme Court’s Karachi registry. CJP Nisar said, “Indian content must be banned as they are shutting down our dams. Should we not ban their channels?”
