Hopes new projects will bring relief to people

Provincial Minister for Communication and Works Nawabzada Tariq Magsi has said that the government is utilising all available resources for the benefit of the people.

“The government is determined to control extra expenditures,” said the minister during a meeting on Tuesday. He said his department is working to utilise the resources of the province to their full potential in line with the directives of Chief Minister Jam Kamal.

The minister stressed the need for better planning to carry out development projects. He expressed the hope that the new projects would provide relief to the people of Balochistan.

During the meeting, Secretary Communication and Works Akbar Ali Baloch gave a briefing to the minister about the performance of the department.


Govt plans to improve road infrastructure

Magsi directed the staff to pursue meritocracy in the department and promote new talent.

The minister, meanwhile, chaired a meeting of the cabinet’s sub-committee to discuss the Public Sector Development Fund (PSDP) for the province.

Provincial Minister for Finance Arif Jan Muhammad Hassani, Minister for Food Asadullah Baloch, Minister for Public Health Engineering Noor Muhammad Dummar, Advisor to CM on Education Muhammad Khan Lehri, Minister for Livestock Mitha Khan, Additional Chief Secretary for Planning and Development (P&D) Sajjad Ahmed Bhutta, Advocate General Balochistan Rauf Atta and members of the P&D department attended the meeting.

The additional chief secretary P&D shared details of the PSDP funds with the participants of the meeting in line with the rulings of the Balochistan High Court. The meeting decided to implement the court judgment for the next PSDP.
