Punjab government appoints new CCPO
The Punjab government has appointed Mohammad Aslam Tareen as new CCPO of Lahore.

The Punjab government appointed Mohammad Aslam Tareen as new CCPO of Lahore and a notification in this regard was issued on Thursday.
The position was lying vacant following the transfer of Ahmed Raza Tahir on the Lahore High Court orders.
Ahmed Tahir was transferred after the court held him responsible for showing negligence in the Gojra riots. The immediate appointment of new CCPO Lahore comes in the wake of a recent wave of terror in the city.
Aslam Tareen has served as additional IG and Regional Police Officer Rawalpindi.
