Pepco: Quraishi replaces Khalid as new DG

Quraishi, who had joined Wapda in 1978, was previously working as a chief engineer.

LAHORE:
Engineer Muhammad Khalid, the Pakistan Electric Power Company (PEPCO) general manager, retired from service on Monday. Khalid, who served the department for 35 years, had joined Wapda in 1976 as a junior engineer. He was appointed as the director general and Pepco spokesman in 2009. Two weeks ago, he was promoted as the general manager. Ijaz Rafique Quraishi has been appointed as the new Pepco director general and spokesman. Quraishi, who had joined Wapda in 1978, was previously working as a chief engineer at Faisalabad Electric Supply Company.
