ISLAMABAD : Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA) Balochistan leader Habibullah Kakozai has demanded of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to release the by-poll schedule for his constituency of PB-21 Qila Abdullah.

Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, he said following the general elections 2018 he had filed a petition in the ECP against the results as he had a lead of 4,000 votes till midnight. As the irregularities were proved, on October 5, the election commission nullified the election in PB-21 and two other constituencies.

Kakozai said the election commission issued schedules for two constituencies on October 8. However, no schedule for the constituency PB-21 has been issued so far, he added.

By-polls conclude peacefully… and unremarkably

He appealed to the ECP to provide a copy of the decision about his constituency and election schedule for by-poll for PB 21 be issued as was done in the case of other constituencies.

The MMA leader said if the ECP failed to issue the schedule, he would move to the Supreme Court and call for hunger strike in front of National Press Club, Islamabad.
