The meeting is being hosted by the Senate of Pakistan with an aim to showcase Gwadar as a hub of investment opportunity and bring the legislative leadership of Asia to promote regional peace and growth.
Talking to the media, Sanjrani said that delegations from important oil states such as UAE, Kuwait, Qatar and Bahrain had arrived in Gwadar. He noted that the presence of a big number of delegates would strengthen the impact of the conference.
Gwadar APA ‘to promote regional peace’
The Senate chairman also expressed satisfaction over the arrangements of the conference during a meeting attended by Senator Khuda Babar, the secretary Senate and other high-ranking officials.
For the APA meeting, Gwadar port has been decorated lavishly and the streets are dotted with the flags of all participating countries.
Meanwhile, talking to Pakistan Television Network (PTV), the chairman said, Gwadar would become the centre of trade and economic activities for the entire region because of its ideal location.
Sanjrani lauded the efforts of parliamentarians for organising the conference. He expressed satisfaction over the arrangements for the meeting, adding that this meeting would further promote the name of Pakistan in the international community.
The economic growth would not only leave a positive impact in South Asia but in the whole region, he said.
Answering a question, he said Pakistan Army and Naval Forces had played a positive role regarding the security matters, while the naval chief had provided the special ship for the guests.
He said law enforcement agencies had controlled law and order situation in Balochistan. Sanjrani said the Government of Balochistan had issued the NOC for electricity in Gwadar.
Meanwhile Rs18 billion of the fund had been approved by the Prime Minister Imran Khan for the speedy development of projects in Gwadar.
