Pakistan Navy is completely capable of discharging this duty, says Admiral Abbasi
Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi on Saturday said the Pakistan Navy is ready to safeguard the territorial waters of the country, Radio Pakistan reported.
The naval chief added that Pakistan Navy is "completely capable of discharging this duty" while speaking to officers and sailors participating in the ongoing Sea Spark exercise.

During the exercise, naval ships demonstrated combat tactics against each other. The naval chief also inspected the fleet during the exercises.
According to the navy's spokesperson, Admiral Abbasi said that safeguarding the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is also part of this exercise.
On the occasion, the naval chief also lauded the professional skills of officers and jawans of Pakistan Navy.

Earlier in October, Pakistan Navy ship Saif participated in joint exercises with the Turkish navy.
