LAHORE: Artist Rabi Pirzada has gained some recognition courtesy her brief acting stretch. However, the Shor Sharaba star has received much more acknowledgement owing to her singing run.

Speaking to The Express Tribune, Pirzada shared how she focused on highlighting certain issues within the music video. She hopes to make a difference with her music and is doing the best she can for the nation's entertainment industry.

The Balma crooner is an active singer within the industry and began her acting career two years ago with Shor Sharaaba. Besides this, she has also been engaged in various social projects. Although the video has been shot in Lahore, Pirzada moved to Karachi last month, to better her opportunities within showbiz.

Speaking of the release, the starlet said, "I always try and highlight social issues within my songs and thus, my latest release is also of the same nature. I thought now was the best time to share this piece of music with the public so they can divert their attention to what really matters, especially have the Ko Ko Korina debate. So I decided to release it today."

She continued, "My aim was to create something melodic for our country's music listeners. I think this song has a lot of potential because we have a big audience that wants to listen to nice, traditional music. So far, I have received a pretty good response and I will be sure to release more such music videos in the future."

Pirzada explains that the music video shows the story of a wife who is continuously trying to get a hold of her husband, but he ignores all her calls. During this, a robbery takes place leading to her being killed. The Wada singer further expressed that the message she is trying to portray within the visuals is that something as simple as attending to someone's call can make a big difference. "That may be the last call you ever receive from your loved one, so pick up - that's the lesson."

The singer went on to share that since she has moved to Karachi, she has hope for a flourishing career. "I have had numerous meetings with some industry big shots and they all went very well so I am keeping a positive attitude."

She continuned, "I know Karachi is now the hub of showbiz so that's why I chose to move here. Everyone I have met here in the entertainment industry has been very warm, supportive and professional - I have learnt so much already. I learnt a lot when I was in Lahore too but this is different. It's time I do something amazing and unique so I knew I had to make this move for that to happen.

Pirzada states she has decided to work in both cities simultaneously, with her main focus in Karachi. She hopes to be able to work in quality projects in the near future. "Our film industry has recently seen great releases and this is all because of the talented people we have. Although I love acting and am looking forward to doing more of it, my priority will always be music."
