ISLAMABAD: Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan has said the provincial government prefers public-private partnership with private companies.

In a meeting with Chinese businessman Wang Lei in Islamabad, the chief minister said, “Balochistan has vast opportunities of private investment as CPEC (China Pakistan Economic Corridor) has opened doors to private investment in the least-developed province of the country.”

CPEC is the only way forward, says CM Kamal

Kamal was accompanied by Provincial Minister Abdul Rehman Kethran, Senator Anwarul Haq Kakar and MPA Danesh Kumar.
Lei expressed deep interest of his company to invest in the industrial zone, free zone, water treatment and mineral sectors.
“Our company is working in infrastructure fields, including rail and roads, across the world and we seek to expand our investment in Balochistan,” Lei told the CM Balochistan.

Lauding Lei’s offer, Kamal said, “The provincial government will provide complete assistance for investment in mining, livestock, fisheries, water treatment, industrial park and free zones’ industries.

“Under the Balochistan Board of Investment and Industries, the provincial government will provide full cooperation to the interested private companies. But we seek to gain partnership in private investment which would be beneficial for the government and the masses.”
