Afghan and Pakistani women parliamentarians have approved an “Islam action plan”

Afghan and Pakistani women parliamentarians have approved an “Islam action plan” to strengthen contacts between women parliamentarians from the two countries. A delegation of Afghan women parliamentarians was on a three-day visit to Pakistan. During the visit, a discussion was held at a forum of Pakistani women parliamentarians. In a joint press conference in Islamabad, it was announced that a bilateral focal group of women parliamentarians will be formed. The head of the Afghan delegation Naaqai Karokhel said that Pakistani women parliamentarians are playing an important role for women rights in the country.
