Confirmation: Video of ‘Kashmiri’s burial’ surfaces
The video depicts several bodies in the orchard being prepared for burial.
ISLAMABAD:
Several television news reports claim that a foreign news agency has obtained the video of the militant Ilyas Kashmiri’s burial at an apple orchard in Ghwakhwah, a village 20 kilometres from Wana in South Waziristan. The video depicts several bodies in the orchard being prepared for burial. The orchard also has several craters, possibly from the US drone strike that reportedly killed Kashmiri. All of the bodies are covered with a funeral shroud so it is not possible to positively identify any of the bodies. Kashmiri’s banned Harkatul Jihad al-Islami had previously confirmed the death of the militant leader who had been associated with al Qaeda.
