Margalla Hills fire: Ombudsman seeks report

IMC and other relevant departments instructed to submit a report

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Ombudsman Shehbaz Tahir has asked civic bodies of the federal capital to explain how far they have implemented the recommendations for preventing fires in the Margalla Hills. Tahir has directed Capital Development Authority (CDA) Islamabad Metropolitan Corporation (IMC) and other departments concerned to submit report on the implementation of the recommendations prepared for prevention of fire incidents on Margala Hills by October 30th. A committee headed by Federal Ombudsman Shehbaz Tahir was formed on the orders of Supreme Court over fire incidents on Margalla Hills. The committee had submitted its recommendations to the Supreme Court last month.
