ISLAMABAD:
The Ministry for Inter Provincial Coordination (IPC) has been informed about the formation of new policy in the light of the instructions from Prime Minister Imran Khan for promotion of tourism in the county and provision of facilities of international standards to local and foreign tourists.

According to sources, before the forthcoming meeting of the national tourism task force, Inter Provincial Coordination  (IPC) Secretary Jamil Ahmed would collect proposals from all four provincial tourism ministers and federal members and forward them to the PM Secretariat. The proposals would be included in the new tourism policy after the PM’s approval.

Ministry’s Deputy Secretary Abuzafar Sadiq told Express News on Sunday that the new policy would promote tourism in the country. He said that after the provision of 18th amendment, the control of historic and tourist places had been shifted to the four provinces and Gilgit-Baltistan.

Abuzafar said after the implementation of the tourism policy, local and foreign tourists would be provided facilities of international standard at historic places which would generate income.
