Anu Malik not part of 'Indian Idol' anymore
Multiple women had accused the singer of sexual misconduct
Ever since the #MeToo movement kicked up a storm in Bollywood, many celebrities have come forward to name and shame some of the big guns of the industry. Likewise, singer and music producer Anu Malik was also accused of sexual conduct by multiple women, reported Business Standard.

According to an official statement released earlier today, Malik will no longer be part of the jury panel in season 10 of the singing-based reality show Indian Idol.
Officials at Sony Entertainment Television said, "Anu Malik is no longer a part of the Indian Idol jury panel. The show will continue its planned schedule and we will invite some of the biggest names in Indian music as guests to join Vishal Dadlani and Neha Kakkar to judge the extraordinary talent of Indian Idol season 10."
The music producer has been accused by fellow singers Sona Mohapatra and Shweta Pandit, who called him a "paedophile" and a "sexual predator". However, Malik denied all allegations that said he sexually harassed Pandit.

His lawyer Zulfiqar Memon stated, "The allegations made against my client are emphatically denied as completely false and baseless. My client respects the #MeToo movement, but to use this movement to start a character assassination mission is obnoxious."
