President Dr Arif Alvi met Federal Insurance Ombudsman Muhammad Raeesuddin Paracha at the President House. During the meeting, the federal ombudsman briefed the president about the organisation’s performance and said due to the awareness campaign launched by the institution, complaints regarding non-payment of claims by insurance companies and bank insurance have increased. He said the institution of federal insurance ombudsman implements current government’s vision of timely justice and cheap justice. Paracha said after Islamabad and Lahore, regional offices in Multan and Peshawar have also been opened while soon in more big cities regional offices will be opened. President Alvi expressed satisfaction over the institution’s performance and emphasised that in line with the needs of the era, latest technology should be used to maximise the performance of the institution. He emphasised the need to give know-how of the process, in case a claim of any customer is rejected.
