Tourists trapped after encountering heavy snowfall
Twenty stranded tourists, including a foreigner, were rescued in a Pakistan Army operation from Deosai, near Skardu, according to Radio Pakistan.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the tourists were trapped owing to heavy snowfall were searched and rescued by the Pakistan Army Aviation Helicopters.
The Commander of the Force Command Northern Area, also met the stranded persons after the completion of the operation.

One of the tourists has also been evacuated in Skardu with his condition said to be stable.
The army working in coordination with the civil administration is trying its best to open the Deosai road.
Meanwhile, an army rescue team with relief items has left Chilas to Babusar by helicopter to rescue stranded tourists and local residents in Gattidas and adjoining valleys due to heavy snowfall.
Meanwhile, Commander FC Northern Areas Maj Gen Ehsan Mehmood Khan and Commander 62-Brigade, Brigadier Azhar Munir also went on rescue mission to Deosai to rescue the tourists stranded there.
Earlier, Deputy Commissioner Diamer, Amir Azam gave away detailed briefing to them about the tourists.
