Qatar to set up job visa centre in Pakistan
Pakistan is going to be among eight countries where visa centres will facilitate citizens who want to apply for jobs

Qatar on Wednesday shortlisted Pakistan to be among eight countries where its visa centres will be launched to facilitate citizens who want to apply for jobs in the gulf country, said an official statement.
The Qatar Embassy informed Zulfi Bukhari, special assistant to Prime Minister Imran Khan, of the development in a letter to the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development.
Why Qatar issues fewer ‘work visas’ to Pakistanis
In the first phase, eight visa centres will be launched across the world to facilitate workers from different countries to secure contracts with prospective employers before arriving in Qatar.
These centers will also help in protecting the rights of the workforce in case of violation by employers.
The project also aims to reduce exploitative practices that may be exercised by some employers and intermediaries.

Furthermore, it aims to avoid cases of returning the worker to his country if he is not fit to obtain a residence permit in Qatar.
Visa centres will also facilitate the procedures of recruitment by enabling the applicant to meet all requirements prior to the initiation of the contract.
Moreover, the project fasten the services provided to applicants. Currently, there are a total of 115,000 Pakistanis in Qatar.
