Woman, two children murdered in Narowal
All victims were asleep when gunmen barged in and opened fire on them
NAROWAL:
A woman and her two children were murdered in Narowal’s Zafar Wal tehsil on Monday.
The police told Express News that 35-year-old Fauzia Bibi, a resident of Moga Village, and her two sons, 12-year-old Faizan and 10-year-old Ali Raza, were asleep in their house. That is when unidentified gunmen barged in and opened fire on them. As a result, all three died on the spot.
Soon after the incident, the people from the neighbourhood informed the police which reached the spot and shifted the bodies to the local hospital for legal formalities. A case has been registered at Zafar Wal police station while further investigations were under way.
Meanwhile, Narowal DPO Kashif Aslam said, “It seems that the victims were murdered over an enmity. However, the exact reason will be revealed after a thorough investigation.”
He added that the deceased woman’s husband works as a security guard in Lahore. He maintained that Fauzia’s elder son and two daughters were not present at the time of the incident as they had gone to their relative’s house.
The DPO said that the police had gathered evidence from the crime scene and soon the culprit will be arrested.
Earlier, a woman and her two minor children were found dead in their house in Lahore’s Green Town area. The victims were identified as Ayesha Usman, 24, two-year-old Ayan Ali and four-year-old Noor Usman.
