Govt to auction 49 vehicles tomorrow
62 vehicles were sold off previously
As many as 49 more vehicles – including two bomb-proof and 18 bullet-proof cars – will be auctioned on Wednesday (tomorrow) under the PM’s austerity drive.
The vehicles were available for inspection on Sunday and interested buyers could also see them on Tuesday (today).
The auction will be carried out under the supervision of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and the Customs authorities.
Reserved prices will be kept secret and no vehicle will be auctioned below that price.
In the first phase, 102 vehicles were produced for auctioning, of which 62 were sold off. The remaining 40 vehicles could not be sold because of their high prices. These are now again being auctioned in addition to nine other vehicles.
