Suri stresses on role of youth

QUETTA: National Assembly Deputy Speaker Qasim Khan Suri has said only the educated youth could develop Balochistan.

He said this during his visit to the Federal Government (FG) Boys and Girls Degree College Quetta Cantt on Friday.

The deputy speaker said that he was a student of the same college and had his best memories connected to it. Lauding the institution for its services, he said the college had been playing a vital role for providing standard education in Quetta since 1971.

Suri said that Prime Minister Imran Khan was making strenuous efforts to bring Balochistan on a par with other provinces. He acknowledged the role of Pakistan Army and Frontier Corps in the field of education in the province.

The goal of making the country prosperous could not be achieved without empowering the youth, he stressed. “Strengthening youth and providing them jobs is an important element of the strategy of the federal government,” he added.

The deputy speaker said the government was taking effective measures for the promotion of vocational education in Balochistan. He urged the students to focus on their studies and play their role for the development of the country and the province.
