FC man martyred in Quetta

QUETTA:
A Frontier Corps man was on Saturday martyred in an armed attack near Makan Hotel in main Turbat Bazaar.

According to the police, unknown armed men riding a motorcycle opened fire on the security official, identified as Hakim Jan, with automatic weapons and escaped. Jan received multiple bullet wounds and succumbed on the spot.

The police and FC personnel rushed to the site and shifted the body to the district hospital Turbat.  The security forces cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to trace the killers.


The police termed the attack an incident of targeted killing.

No one has claimed responsibility for the attack.

Meanwhile, the body of a 70-year-old man was recovered from Balnigore area of Kech district. The body was identified as of Dost Muhammad who had been missing for 29 days.

According to hospital staff, the old man died of hunger.
