Anti-measles drive launched
The health secretary informs the governor that the government’s target was to cover 2.1 million children

Balochistan Governor Justice (retd) Amanullah Yasinzai on Saturday kicked off the drive against measles in the province by vaccinating children at the Governor House in Quetta.
“The health officials must utilise all efforts to make the anti-measles campaign successful across the province and make sure that all children are vaccinated,” Yasinzai said.

Provincial Health Minister Naseebullah Marri and the health secretary were also present on the occasion.
The health secretary informed the governor that the government’s target was to cover 2.1 million children up to the age of five years.
The anti-measles drive will continue till October 27. International aid agencies, including UNICEF and WHO, have been assisting the provincial government to complete the drive successfully.
