Police haul: 10 suspects held, drugs, arms, stolen bike recovered
Islamabad SSP ordered effective crackdown against those involved in drug peddling
ISLAMABAD:
Islamabad police arrested 10 outlaws from various areas of the city and recovered stolen bike, liquor, beer, hashish and weapons from them.
According to a police statement, sub-inspectors Muhammad Iddres and Naiz Khan arrested two drug pushers, Pervez and Danish, and recovered 2.3kg hashish from them.
ASI Shakeel Butt from CIA police arrested Rafique for possessing 33 cans of beer and five bottles imported smuggled wine. ASI Muhammad Imran from Kohsar police arrested Muhammad Faraz and recovered a 30 bore pistol from him. ASI Hakim Ali from Karachi Company police arrested Pervez and recovered a 30 bore pistol along with bullets from him. Sub-Inspector Rab Nawaz from Tarnol police arrested Javid Iqbal for carrying 525 grammes of heroin.
ASI Muhammad Ishfaq arrested Muhammad Shafique and recovered a stolen bike from him and ASI Asghir Naz arrested Wahid Jamal and recovered an MP-5 gun and a 30 bore pistol from him. Sub-Inspector Muhammad Arshad from Ramana police arrested Usama and recovered six grammes of meth-ice and 110 grammes of heroin from him.
SSP Islamabad Syed Mohammad Amin Bukhari has directed all SHOs for effective crackdown against those involved in drug peddling activities. He asked for renewed efforts to curb such practices and get rid of society from such menace. He said that performance in this regard would be reviewed on continuous basis.
He said that menace of drug peddling would not be allowed in educational institutions or anywhere and strict action to be ensured against those involved in such ugly business or activity. The SSP also categorically asked all police officials to focus on resolving the public complaints and take every possible step to provide maximum relief to citizens.
