Riaz cleared to play for Kent
Pakistan fast-bowler given NOC by the board.
LAHORE:
Kent Cricket County has signed paceman Wahab Raiz after the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) handed him the NOC that will enable him to take part in the county season.
“We’ve allowed him to play for Kent after his assurance to fulfill national commitments both domestic and international,” said a PCB official.
However, the left-arm pacer’s arrival at the club is still subject to visa clearance. He was due to leave for Abu Dhabi late last night in order to finalise the visa processing procedure which, according to Riaz, should be finished in the coming week.
“Playing for Kent is a great opportunity for me,” Riaz told The Express Tribune. “I’ve signed for the whole season with some exceptions as I’m supposed to play the national domestic Twenty20, the Sri Lanka Premier League and then against Zimbabwe.”
