The health department’s medical teams visited medical stores in the provincial capital and examined the medicines being sold there.
During their visits, drug inspectors instructed all medical store owners to hire qualified staff. The inspectors warned that strict action would be taken against the companies and stores found involved in selling fake medicines.
The health department has also instructed the deputy commissioners to provide full support to the medical teams in the crackdown.
The drug inspectors inspected 42 medical stores in the first week of October. They also sealed two medical stores.
