Statistics provided by Multan board stated that a total of 68,879 candidates took part in the examination. Of them, 34,610 candidates cleared the exams, while 34,268 failed to pass the papers. The percentage of successful candidates remained 50.25%.
At least, 20,013 candidates appeared in the pre-engineering exams of which 12,833 were declared passed. The group’s success was 64.12%. Similarly, 7,648 candidates of the general science group appeared in the exams. Of the total, 2,435 managed to clear all the papers and pass percentage was 58.56%.
Besides, 2,844 candidates of the commerce group took part in the exams of which 1,364 students passed all the papers and the success percentage was 47.33%.
In arts group, 20,257 candidates took part in the exams of which 7,942 candidates cleared the exam, while the percentage of successful candidates was 39.21%.
Of the total successful candidates, 5,099 scored an A-1 grade, while 6,846 candidates secured A-grade. In addition, 10,293 candidates scored B-grade, 9,291 secured C-grade, 2,998 scored D-grade and 83 candidates managed to secure E-grade.
Meanwhile, seven candidates were caught using unfair means during the exams.
