Karachi school closes down to mourn student’s death
A private school in Federal B Area has been closed for two days
KARACHI:
A private school in Federal B Area has been closed for two days by the administration after the incident of an alleged suicide by a seventh grade student.
The incident took place on Monday morning in Block 17 of FB Area when the student fell from the third floor of the school and later succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. The police have not registered a case of the incident yet. The police had initially declared it a suicide but the parents of the deceased have rejected the police claim. According to the school administration, the campus has been closed to mourn the death of the student.
SHO Muhammad Iftikhar Ahmed has said that a case against the incident will be registered if the parents come in person to register an FIR. He assured that the police would address all reservations of the family of the deceased. However, the family has declined to initiate any legal action.
