RAWALPINDI: Citizens of Rawalpindi will make their city clean and green, said Deputy Commissioner Umer Jahangir on Monday.

“People, particularly, students should come forward and play their role in the success of Clean and Green Punjab drive in Rawalpindi,” he said at the launching campaign at Liaguat Bagh.

The mayor, deputy mayor and members of the local government were conspicuously absent apparently due to their affiliation with PML-N.

On the occasion, Rawalpindi PHA Chairman Asif Mahmood, DG Saif Anwar Jappa, MPAs Farrah Agha, Umer Tanveer Butt, ADC Maliha Jamal, a large number of students and citizens were present.
