Senate chairman invites foreign investment
Meets envoys of Romania, Qatar, France and Australia

Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani has said that there are enormous prospects for different countries to invest in Gwadar and under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
According to a press release on Thursday, the chairman called upon foreign envoys and stressed that “their countries should benefit from the opportunities for enhancing bilateral economic cooperation with Pakistan.”
During separate meetings with the ambassadors of Romania, Qatar, France and High Commissioner of Australia, Sanjrani said that investment opportunities have increased manifold in Pakistan especially in Gwadar region and the projects included in the CPEC.
He said that the increase in parliamentary relations and exchange of delegations would be instrumental in exploring the opportunities for exploiting the economic cooperation and paving the way for enhanced bilateral trade between Pakistan and other countries.
Speaking to the French envoy, Marc Barety, Sanjrani said that the Pakistan-France Friendship Group has been renewed in the Senate of Pakistan, which would be beneficial for enhancing the parliamentary ties between the two countries.
In conversation with Qatari envoy Saqr Bin Mubarak Al Mansouri, the chairman said there is good opportunity for Qatar to invest in infrastructure related projects in Gwadar.
Meanwhile, Sanjrani told Romanian ambassador Nicolae Goia that there is a need to further boost the parliamentary linkages between the two countries and he would be extending invitation to his Romanian counterpart to lead a parliamentary delegation to Pakistan.
In a meeting with the Australian High Commissioner Margaret Adamson, the chairman said that Pakistan attaches highest priority to its relations with Australia and looks forward to increase the parliamentary exchanges.
