Truckanwala Murder: Court grants bail to another suspect

The police had not been able to produce any evidence against his client- counsel.

An anti-terrorism court on Friday accepted the bail application of Malik Ihsan, an accused in the Tipu Truckawala murder case, on submission of Rs100,000 surety bonds.


Earlier, Ihsan’s counsel said that the police had not been able to produce any evidence against his client. So far, the court has sentenced one of the seven accused, Khurram Butt, to death and accepted the bail pleas of Ihsan and Khwaja Aqeel alias Goggi Butt.

The FIR was registered with Sarwar Road police against seven people on charges of shooting and killing Arif Amir alias Tipu Truckanwala in the parking lot of the Allama Iqbal International Airport.
