CECHS elections: Aggrieved party told to appear before FIA officer
FIA to probe rigging claims made by CECHS
ISLAMABAD:
A sessions court has directed the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to complete its inquiry in a complaint filed by members of the Civilian Employees Cooperative Housing Society (CECHS), commonly known as Soan Garden, against alleged rigging in the society’s recent elections.
Additional District and Sessions Judge Basit Aleem has also directed the complainants to appear before the enquiry officer of FIA and verify the contents of their complaint.
Twelve people had submitted a complaint to the FIA for registration of a case against administrator Waseem Ahmed Khan and CECHS election commission for allegedly de priving a large number of voters from their right to vote in the election for management committee of the society which was held on August 11.
