An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Tuesday granted bail to former Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Faisal Raza Abidi, Express News reported.
Abidi was booked for making ‘insulting and threatening’ remarks against Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar.
Judge Kausar Abbas presided over Abidi's bail hearing in the federal capital and granted bail to the outspoken leader till October 11 after a surety bond of Rs0.1 million was deposited.

A case was registered against the former PPP senator and unknown companions, for making ‘insulting and threatening’ remarks against the judges of the supreme court, including the chief justice.
On September 20, a First Information Report (FIR) was registered against Abidi at the Secretariat police station in Islamabad after the Supreme Court’s public relations officer Shahid Hussain submitted a complaint.
On Monday, Abidi was granted a one-day protective bail by the Islamabad High Court (IHC).
