Resource monitoring: Digital atlas of Islamabad prepared

ISLAMABAD:
Pakistan Environmental Protection Agency (Pak-EPA) Geomatic Centre for Climate Change and Sustainable Development has prepared a digital atlas of Islamabad indicating resource monitoring of capital city.
According to officials of Ministry of Climate of Change, the digital atlas provides cartographic data including maps and documentation about Islamabad's natural resources in context of its land and environment.
The Geomatic Center for Climate Change and Sustainable Development was started with objectives to use geographic information system (GIS), SRS technologies in environmental issues, monitoring and management.
According to overall progress of project, a well-equipped centre of geospatial technologies for environmental monitoring was also established.
