A gang of four women and three men carrying out heists and shooting pornographic content of their victims were arrested by Indian police, Times of India reported on Monday.

The gang was apprehended after a jeweller from Bareilly lodged a complaint against the perpetrators.

The jeweller revealed that one of the women lured him to come to her house where three of her gang members were present. He said they forced him to strip at gunpoint and filmed him along with the woman.

After filming him they threatened to make the video viral unless he paid them a sum of INR one million.

Additional Superintendent (ASP) Pankaj Pandey said, "The victim had asked his elder brother to arrange money after narrating the entire incident. The brother, however, informed police about the account and the accused were subsequently nabbed."

The police officer reported that police is conducting an investigation to find more people robbed by the gang who he says appear to be professional criminals.


Police recovered weapons, motorbikes and mobile phones from the accused and pressed charges of extortion and theft against them.
