Four-year-old Indian kindergarten student molested by teacher

Police probe conducted before arresting woman

An Indian teacher has been arrested for molesting her four-year-old student, The Times of India reported.



The woman was nabbed four days after the parents of the child alerted police. The child, enrolled at a kindergarten, told them the woman had touched her inappropriately on Monday.

A police probe was conducted before arresting the teacher. While CCTV footage presented nothing concrete, the woman was arrested on the basis of the victim's statement. She has been booked under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.



"We have never had a complaint against the teacher in the past. Our school premises is entirely covered with cameras, except inside the washrooms. The CCTV footage has been handed over to the police," a school representative said.
