Iranian forces kill four militants near Pakistan border

Two militants also wounded in clash

Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps said on Friday it had killed four militants on the Saravan border crossing in the southeastern Sistan-Balochistan province which borders Pakistan.

In a statement published by state broadcaster IRIB, the Revolutionary Guard said "Iranian forces killed four terrorists and wounded two".

Earlier, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani vowed a 'crushing' response after assailants sprayed a crowd with gunfire, shooting dead at least 29 people including women and children at a military parade near the Iraqi border.

The Islamic State militant group claimed responsibility for the rare assault in the southwestern city of Ahvaz, while Iranian officials accused “a foreign regime” backed by the United States of being behind it.
