LAHORE:

Punjab Chief Secretary Akbar Durrani has said two committees have been constituted to prepare recommendations for civil services reforms that would be presented to the taskforces formed by the federal government for reforms and austerity measures. Presiding over a meeting of administrative secretaries’ committee on Wednesday, the chief secretary said civil service reforms were aimed at improving public service delivery as provision of education, health, clean drinking water and other basic facilities are top priority of the government. He directed the administrative secretaries to start accountability within their departments and send cases of corrupt officers and officials to Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE).
