Basketball: PAF thrash Wapda to win cup
Paf scored 16 points in the first quarter while Wapda managed just five.

Pakistan Air Force (Paf) defeated Wapda 64-47 in the final of 50th Men’s National Basketball Championship. Paf scored 16 points in the first quarter while Wapda managed just five. The lead stretched to 27-7 when Wapda struck back to cut it down to just 10 with Falak Fareed scoring a couple of three-pointers. Fareed was Wadpa’s best scorer with 19 points while Jahangir Ahmed and Yawar Khan chipped in with nine points each. Earlier, Higher Education Commission ended their impressive run in the championship with a bronze medal by beating Railways 71-59 in the third place playoff.
