Cycling: France in the lead of rankings
Germany sit third with a total of 1152 points while the Netherlands is fourth with 1069.
Thomas Voeckler extended his lead in the UCI Europe Tour individual ranking after yet another impressive month of results in May. The current champion extended his lead further when he finished with 441 points a the end of the UCI Europe Tour as he left his Italian rival Emanuele Sella of the Androni Giocattoli team 150 points behind him who secured second place with 291.2 points. As leader of the UCI Europe Tour he will again wear the special white leader’s jersey in Europe Tour races in June. Sella had a quiet month of results in May because he was riding the WorldTour ranked Giro d’Italia grand tour but he still remains under pressure. Germany sit third with a total of 1152 points while the Netherlands is fourth with 1069.
